The Bristol Urological Institute wishes offer an exciting opportunity to appoint 2 Senior Clinical Fellows in Robotic Pelvic Oncology Urology, both posts commencing October 2024 for 12 months.
The post is best suited for trainees at the end of their urological training or post-CCT and wish to pursue a sub-specialty career in Robotic Pelvic Onco-Urology.
The post offers experience in specialised Robotic Pelvic Onco-Urology.

The post holder will participate in a 1:12 on call rota, and will be responsible for the day to day management of ward patients.
The Bristol Urological Institute has an active teaching programme and Fellows and Registrars are expected to actively participate in this activity.
Research
1⁄2 day dedicated research session is provided for all fellows/SpRs.
There are several ongoing research projects and fellows are expected to participate in these projects as well as undertaking at least one audit project during their training.

The Institute is a tertiary referral centre and has gained a global reputation and has become a major National and International surgical, education and research centre.
The clinicians at the BUI have always been at the cutting edge; introducing robotic surgery for urological cancers and reconstruction, pioneering urodynamics, promoting mínimally invasive kidney stone surgery, advancing complex andrology/penile cancer, genito-urethral reconstruction and investing in community delivered diagnostics.
The Bristol Urological Institute (BUI) is a long established research unit.It attracts major national and international grants, the BUI publishes extensively in all areas of urology and coordinates and participates in international clinical trials.
The Department is the centre for complex urological cancer care for the ASW Cancer Network and has a large urological cancer workload serving a population of 2 million+.
The BUI has 3 robotic surgical systems and is a centre of excellence recognised by both the European Association of Urology (EAU) and The Urology Foundation (TUF).
