    Description

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced full-time Commercial Dance Teacher to join our Dance faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality commercial dance training to students across The Hammond. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the artistic and professional development of aspiring dancers within a vibrant and supportive environment.

    Main Responsibilities:

    To work with the Deputy Director of Vocational Training (Dance) to develop the commercial dance provision across The Hammond.

    Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic commercial dance classes, workshops, and rehearsals for students across different skill levels on all courses.

    Develop and implement comprehensive commercial dance curriculum in alignment with industry standards.

    Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students to facilitate their technical and artistic growth in the commercial genre.

    Choreograph original pieces for performances, showcases, and competitions, showcasing diverse styles within commercial dance.

    Collaborate with other choreographers and dance staff to integrate commercial dance training into interdisciplinary projects and productions.

    Stay informed about current trends, techniques, and developments in commercial dance through continuous professional development and research.

    Support and participate in school events, performances, and extracurricular activities as needed.

    Other duties as required by an member of the senior leadership team

    This is a permanent, full time position. The deadline for applications is 15th April 2024. We reserve the right to appoint before the closing date.
