Theclient has an exceptionally strong technical capability within thedepartment and are passionate about developing their people from atechnical and commercial perspective.

    Because theclient are a fast growing business often their Large Loss Team havea quicker development journey to that of other more traditionalinsurers.

    PositionOverview & KeyResponsibilities

    In this role youwill be responsible for managing a portfolio of motor personalinjury cases exceeding per claim. Working within establishedauthority limits and criteria you will engage in diversecommunication channels to facilitate the prompt resolution ofclaims. This involves interacting with customers witnesses insurersrepairers solicitors engineers thirdparty representatives medicalexperts forensic accountants rehabilitation providers case managersoverseas handling agents investigators medical agencies costsdraftsmen CRU counsel police authorities and other relevant thirdparties.

    Additionally your responsibilities willextend to providing coaching mentoring and training to the broaderclaims handling teams. Technical audits will be conducted asdirected with recorded findings emphasizing knowledge gaps oridentified trends. It is crucial to identify and prevent fraudulentclaims ensuring the maintenance of Reinsurer confidence throughtimely and regular updates in accordance with the Reinsurancetreaty.

    Furthermore your involvement in biannualLarge Loss Technical Forums will include suggesting topicsaddressing issues and contributing substantively by creating anddelivering relevant material. These forums serve as platforms forpanel lawyers and expert guest speakers to discuss varioustechnical aspects including brain and spinal injuriesneuropsychological testing deputyship court of protection assistivetechnology andaccident reconstruction amongothers.

    Taking an active role in strategicprojects is expected to ensure the continuous evolution andalignment with industry trends and performance standards. Lastlyyou are required to support the companys values and policiesadhering to the highest professional standards throughout yourwork.

    QualificationsandSkills

    Experience within theinsurance industry (motor) in a claims handling role plusexperience in handling personal injury claims with knowledge andexperience in handling claims in excess of but routinelydeals with claims between 500k and 1m
    Strong Indemnity andliability knowledge an eye for detail with an understanding of theCivil Procedure Rules (CPR) Serious Injury Guide (SIG) TheRehabilitation Code and litigation procedures.
    Excellentproblem solving skills coupled with a proactive approach to work.And ability to a large degree to work under your own initiative andbe able to prioritise your own work load.
    Someone who ispassionate about a career in Large Loss and is keen and ready towork on their own technical development.
    DIP CII Qualifiedor progress towards would be desirable but notessential
    IT skills notably with experience of OutlookWord and Excel MS Teams.
