    My client are a leading Bank based in Oman undergoing a significant change programme to transform the bank's offering from a digital perspective. This will take in both the front end customer experience and back office capability to drive a more effective all-round offering.

    To help ensure the critical strategic objectives are met across the organisation, my client are looking to hire a Head of Product Development. Please note, this role requires full relocation to Oman.

    Role statement

    • To Lead Islamic Banking product development and upselling of assets and liabilities products.
    • Working closely with sales, marketing and support to achieve monthly revenue and customer satisfaction goals within Islamic Retail Banking.
    • Maximize profitability through a comprehensive product management process.
    • Manage the lifecycle of products: design, development, maintenance, enhancement and exit.
    • Lead research, analysis, design, development and implementation of new products for one or more divisions, product lines, and market segments.
    • Analyse, modifies and enhances existing products to maximize profitability and meet customer needs.

    Key responsibilities

    • To drive assets and liabilities product development and enhancing value proposition, net customer growth, and market share growth, explore and discover new ideas and formulate business strategies.
    • Develop and monitor assets and liabilities product metrics for portfolio management and optimization.
    • Development of different MIS Report to support business.
    • Responsible for identifying, evaluating and developing enhancements and new product opportunities.
    • Recommend changes to policies, procedures, systems and products as needed to maintain an efficient operation and a competitive position in the marketplace.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external parties to ensure the business objectives can be achieved and all marketing programs/ new initiatives run smoothly and effectively;
    • Closely monitor and report the business progress and alert for proper action in a timely manner through ongoing keep track of KPI and budget plan;
    • Monitor marketing performance and suggest ways to improve efficiency and differentiate from competitors; Research & analyse competition offering.

    Education & Experience requirements

    • University graduate, preferably in marketing or related disciplines
    • Solid marketing experience in banking industry preferably in liability products;
    • Attention to details, able to work independently, handle and prioritize multiple tasks;
    • Proactive and adapt to dynamic environment;
    • Good analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with customer centricity mindset;
    • Good project management and selling skills;
    • Good communication & interpersonal skills; Good command of written and spoken Proficiency in MS office application.
