Our client is a PE backed Consulting business who have an immediate need to bring in an interim The Head of R2R.

This is a critical role within the finance function and is responsible for producing timely, accurate and complete management accounts and reportingto the business.

The role is responsible for ensuring that the end to end R2R processes work effectively and deliver efficient processes and quality financial reporting.

The role will work closely with various stakeholders, including other colleagues in Central Finance, the Shared Service Centre, Finance Business Partners, Procurement, Cash and Treasury, Finance business areas and other Group functions to deliver a clearvision for global R2R processes, policies, procedures and systems


The role will provide delivery of day-to-day finance activities and will be responsible for establishing and delivering financial accounting, management reporting, and supporting financial control (including audit and Financial Planning processes).


Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the R2R team to produce robust and timely financial results and support the business partners with reporting and analysis.
  • Manage and lead the day to day operations of the R2R team, including technical review of the work performed by that team.
  • Manage the monthly/quarterly/annual close periods and ensure completeness of all financial, statutory and group accounting and reporting, whilst ensuring compliance with accounting principles/standards and relevant regulations.
  • Manage Month End Accounting Close, Accruals, Prepayments, Fixed Assets accounting and reporting.
  • Manage Balance Sheet Reconciliations, accounting and reporting.
  • Manage group responsible for payroll accounting, including recording journal entries and reconciling payroll expense and balance sheet accounts.
  • Set efficiency and reporting targets and SLAs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive standard processes through principles of simplification, standardisation and automation where appropriate.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial, statutory and tax reporting and ensure compliance with any relevant reporting standards and Balance Sheet liability management.
  • Plan and communicate the reporting cycle, executing it to firstclass standards.
  • Ensure the preparation of correct documentation for the annual finance audit and act as key liaison and ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests.
  • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of an effective business control framework in line with expectations of the central control team.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Finance business leaders and ensure timely remediation of issues.
  • Ensure the maintenance and capability of the Finance systems, taking a leadership role in any future financial system upgrades.


The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) with excellent Knowledge of IFRS 15 & 16 and FRS 102, have solid accounting skills, be diligent and accurate and have a high level of commercial acumen.

Also essential for this rolewill be strong communication skills (including with non-finance stakeholders) with the ability to present plans to support business decisions.

Extensive General Ledger process knowledge and strong Excel skills.
