Dogs 4 Rescue is the UK's pioneering kennel-free rescue, the life mission of Emma Billington.

Inspired by what we saw abroad we set about redefining what a UK dog rescue could look like, and discovered the power of pack rehabilitation in the process.

Our rescue is like dogtopia - dogs live, play and sleep together in groups, spending their days in the great outdoors, never knowing they are homeless.

We accept every dog for who they are, all abilities are welcome.

Dogs from around the world coexist happily together at Dogs 4 Rescue, and we believe every dog has the potential to change.

Having shown the world kennel-free life through our videos, we have an ever-growing supporter base joining the rescue revolution.

Job Description:

Versatile Site Maintenance Handyworker needed

Are you a skilled problem solver with a knack for hands-on work? Look no further We are seeking a talented and adaptable Handyworker to maintain our rescue sites.

You'll be working on a diverse range of projects, from minor repairs to larger-scale tasks such as fencing and building projects.

We're not just looking for someone who can fix things - we're seeking a proactive individual who thrives on challenges, is comfortable with creative solutions, and possesses the practical skills to bring ideas to life.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Handyworker with us, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving our facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Project Variety:

Engage in a wide array of projects, ranging from minor repairs like leaky taps to more substantial tasks such as building shelters and cladding walls.

Fearless Around Dogs:
Be comfortable working around dogs, we're a free running rescue.

Resourceful Solutions:
Embrace challenges and find innovative solutions, even with tight budgets and donated materials. Your ability to think creatively will be crucial to our success.

Tool Proficiency:
Leverage your practical skills and experience with various tools to execute projects effectively.

Physical Stamina:
Display physical strength and endurance, as the role requires you to tackle tasks that range in intensity.

Outdoor Work:
Be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as some projects may require exposure to the elements.

Adaptability:
Remain adaptable in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift, and tasks require rearranging to address changing needs.

Woodworking Skills:
Display a strong aptitude for woodworking, contributing to tasks that involve crafting, repairing, and improving wooden structures.

**Driving licence & own vehicle is a must
