Job Type: 4-8 Month FTC (Maternity Cover Support)
Hours: 3 days per week Part Time (negotiable within business hours)

Salary:
£25-29,000 Pro rata

Job Description for Part Time HR Advisor:

This FTC role is to help support the current HR Assistant and HR advisor whilst the Manager is on Maternity leave.

Your daily tasks will involve assisting the HR team with a variety of tasks including return to work meetings and letters following an absence,supporting and advising managers through the review process, creating and issuing letters to staff with updates and changes and ensuring our HR systems are kept up to date.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Part Time HR Advisor:

  • Assisting with employee life cycle from onboarding documents to first day inductions.
  • Probation check ins.
  • Ensuring all staff have Right to Work documents and that they are verified and applicable.
  • Maintaining the HR system with new and existing colleague information.
  • Managing and conducting reference checks for new starters.
  • Assisting with yearly employee wellbeing check ins.
  • Assisting with employee relation issues up to and including investigations and disciplinaries.
  • Supporting managers through review process.
  • Monitoring staff absence ensuring information is recorded accurately and processes are being followed in line with the company absence policy.
  • Administration of letters with internal changes etc.
  • Ad Hoc duties as required.

  • Ability to identify, investigate and solve problems under pressure.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of employment law, redundancies and TUPE process preferable.
