    Description
    My client are a private equity backed business who are a leading distributor within their sector.

    They are a key wholesaler and distributor to a wide range of clients, and have a number of sites globally across warehouses and sales sites.

    My client is looking to engage a high quality senior management accountant to join the growing finance team.

    This role will be key in supporting the finance director and will have involvement across a broad range of activities, including financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities.

    Financial Reporting

    • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review
    • Provide variance analysis and insights into key financial metrics to assist in decision-making.
    Prepare regular forecasts to ensure alignment with financial goals and industry trends
    Cost Analysis

    • Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Coordinate and lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
    Financial Planning

    • Assist in long-term financial planning and strategy development.
    • Evaluate the financial impact of business decisions and provide financial guidance.
    Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

    • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    The ideal candidate for this senior management accountant role will:

    • Be formally qualified - ACA, CIMA or ACCA
    • Have proven management accounting and reporting experience.
    • Be comfortable working on and improving ERP systems (Netsuite Oracle would be particularly advantageous)
    • Have exposure to working with Private Equity, Venture Capital or Investment led companies, and be able to meet a range of reporting requirements.
    • Base salary of circa £60,000 (Potential flexibility depending on experience)
