WFH - 60% of the time with 40% traveling to sites in the UK


ATA Search is working for a multi-site and £multi-million manufacturing business supplying a range of manufactured products to various market sectors.

Boasting sales of over £80m across five UK manufacturing sites, this business provides luxury and high-end building products for both UK and international customers.


As part of a global group generating over $5 billion in sales, this company is going through a planned phase of growth and organisational change and as a result, ATA Search is looking to recruit a Head of UK Supply Chain to join the business.


Working for a business with aggressive growth plans, the Head of UK Supply Chain will have multiple opportunities to progress into a European position or Directorship and with a strong succession planning model, you will be given multiple opportunities to develop and establish yourself as a leading business professional within a global organisation.


Key Accountabilities - Head of UK Supply Chain

  • To oversee all aspects of the supply chain including manufacturing planning, demand management, Sales and Operational Planning and Procurement
  • Manage a team of 4 direct reports with a team of circa 20 staff across 5 manufacturing sites
  • Recruitment, 121s, appraisals, performance reviews and objective setting as well as organisational design and restructure
  • Manage Procurement/Purchasing, Logistics Planning, Supplier Planning, Demand Planning Teams and oversee Master Scheduling
  • Ensuring the manufacturing sites have an effective demand plan and a strong understanding of future workload
  • Leading sales & operations planning process (S&OP) and ensuring that the S&OP process is methodical and that it interfaces with sales, the customer and manufacturing
  • A detailed review, understanding and management of the overall plan, order book, new sales, supplier capability and manufacturing plan to ensure they are capable of delivering
  • Capacity planning and managing inventory levels up to £25m (inventory, WIP and raw materials)
  • Transport and warehouse management and directly manage the procurement teams whilst building effective procurement solutions
  • Leading all organisational Health & Safety, Lean and Continuous Improvement projects within your department
  • Manage the ERP and MRP and ensure all activities are administered correctly

Requirements - Head of UK Supply Chain

  • Head of Supply Chain, Supply Chain Manager or Supply Chain Director level
  • Must have worked in a manufacturing environment and ideally, in a multisite operation
  • Ideally built and delivered an S&OP Process
  • Educated to Degree level, ideally in manufacturing/operations or business such as MBA
  • Active MCIPS qualification
  • Based in the Wolverhampton/Birmingham region
  • Willing to travel 40% of the time in the UK and internationally, particularly to the US


You will have full autonomy to redesign and manage the UK Supply Chain department for a growing business and there will also be numerous opportunities for you to progress within the larger group and into a European or global position.
