    Description

    An experienced EDS Engineer to join a highly focussed and passionate team leading the delivery of electrical / electronic engineering across the business.

    You will report to the Engineering Manager within the Group Electrical Team, which has responsibility to ensure that all new Product programmes meet the required technical deliverables against required timing.

    The role requires technical knowledge, hands-on experience, project delivery process understanding, and the ability to work with diverse teams to ensure delivery.

    Creation of Electrical circuit diagrams.
    Support / create the 3D installation solution of legacy 2D designs.
    Ensure design for manufacture is considered, both relating to build of the Harness and associated machine/vehicle installation.
    Sound record keeping techniques, of all designs, revisions and related analysis i.e. 7 years' experience either in Tier 1 Harness manufacture or OE electrical design (on highway or off highway).
    Confident to use 2D and 3D EDS design/modelling software.
    Sound base knowledge of electrical theory.
    Sound IT skills to help reporting and metric creation.
    Project delivery track record.
    Managing adherence to quality systems and processes.
    Knowledge of data carrying wiring systems i.e. 3D routing experience would be also be advantageous.

    • Willing to be involved in fault finding, diagnosis and build/installation support
    • Circuit simulation regarding fuse blow, conductor sizing, voltdrop analysis
    • Worklights, switchgear, HV motors.
    • Awareness of various quality assurance analysis methods - FMEA, 8D, Risk Assessments
    • Understanding the effects of dust, water, vibration, heat plus other associated environmental risks to the electrical system, and how to design protection in.
    • Capable of a high standard of technical writing.
    • Capable and willing to take part in international travel on a regular basis.
