Description

This post is based at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, Leahurst Campus near Neston, Wirral.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the clinical team in our busy state-of-the-art-hospital.

You will be part of the nursing team and will be responsible for providing support to the out-of-hours clinical team.

You will assist in the care of hospitalised small animal patients and emergency theatre procedures.

You should be educated to BTEC First level (or equivalent) and have a level 2 qualification in Animal Care, with relevant experience.

You will be required to work a pattern of 4 nights on duty (11 hours; 12 hours with a break) followed by 8 nights off duty continuously, including weekends, Bank Holidays and University closed days.

To ensure consistent cover, you will be required to cover the absences of other animal care technicians:
