Surveyor for Open-Cycle Gas Turbine ProjectCompany Overview:
Our Client is a leading engineering firm committed to delivering innovative and sustainable energy projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team for an exciting Open-Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) project.
The Surveyor will play a vital role in ensuring the timely completion of the project by conducting accurate surveys, collaborating with engineers and architects, and providing valuable insights for successful project execution.

Location: 2 Sites / 2 Vacancies - Either Bedfordshire or Suffolk

Responsibilities:
Timely Project Completion:
- Ensure the timely completion of projects by conducting surveys efficiently and providing accurate data to the project team.
Land Surveying:
- Conduct surveys on land sites and properties, utilising various surveying techniques and equipment to measure and map land features.
Data Accuracy:
- Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy and consistency in surveying results.
Research and Design:
- Research and design methods for survey processes, adopting innovative techniques to improve survey efficiency and accuracy.
Equipment Utilisation:
- Use surveying equipment and tools, including GPS and GIS, to gather precise data on land features and project sites.
Mapping and Documentation:
- Build detailed maps, sketches, and charts based on survey data, providing essential documentation for project planning and execution.
Field Staff Supervision:
- Supervise and provide guidance to field staff during surveying activities, ensuring adherence to survey protocols and safety standards.
Equipment Management:
- Purchase and maintain surveying equipment to ensure proper functionality and accuracy in data collection.
Survey Reporting:
- Report on survey results and present findings to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders, conveying survey outcomes effectively.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineers and architects on several projects, offering survey data and insights to support project design and execution.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of previous experience as a surveyor or in a similar role, preferably in civil engineering or energy projects.
- Working knowledge of GPS and GIS technologies for accurate data collection and mapping.
- Techsavvy, including familiarity with CAD software for survey design and documentation.
- Strong aptitude in mathematics and problemsolving, ensuring precision in survey measurements.
- Attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills to supervise field staff effectively.
- Possession of a valid surveyor certificate is required.
