Job Summary

About the role


This new role will ensure that the Directors have the right personal support in organising their departments and fulfilling their obligations in reporting, performance and business planning to Boards and Committees.

The Directors are part of AIUK's Senior Management Team.


The Director of Data, Finance and Infrastructure is responsible for our finance, IT, data & insights, risk & assurance, events and facilities functions.

They are responsible for overseeing the running of the Finance, Audit and Risk Sub-committee (FARSC). They have a team of 32 with six direct line reports.


The Director of Fundraising is responsible for our income generation plan and leading the department (organised into four teams: Individual Giving, Social Giving and Retail, Major Gifts Fundraising, Fundraising Innovation) that delivers circa £30m income per year from a wide range of income streams, and manages the relationships with financial supporters, members, and funders.

They have a team of 43 with four direct line reports in addition to this role.


The Executive Assistant will be integral to supporting the Directors to provide positive leadership, by ensuring that their departments have the right administrative systems in place, representing them when liaising with internal and external contacts and providing organisational and administrative services for committees and meetings.

The role will also support the Director of Fundraising with the management of our fundraising compliance programme.

  • You have significant experience as a personal / executive assistant to senior managers.
  • You're well organised and skilled in using, maintaining and developing administrative systems.
  • You can manage your workload effectively with priorities from multiple stakeholders.

  • You are confident in providing organisational and administrative services for committees and meetings. You have good communication and relationship management skills.
