Description
Our people work differently depending on their jobs and needs. From hybrid working to flexible hours, we have plenty of options that help our people to thrive.

This role is based in the United Kingdom and as such all normal working days must be carried out in the United Kingdom.

Join us as a Project Planning Specialist

  • We'll look to you to support the project governance and control, including tracking the performance and progress of projects, project financial control and adoption
  • You'll maintain the centralised programme plan which covers multiple workstreams, platforms and systems, and create reports to provide insight into critical path and future decision making
  • This is a great opportunity for you to play a proactive role as you join us in the early stages of moving to a strategic Microsoft project tool
  • This is a remotefirst role, so you'll spend most of your time at home, working with your team digitally and coming into your nearest hub location when you need to collaborate closely with your colleagues

What you'll do:

As a Project Planning Specialist, you'll be driving quality assurance activities for various project deliverables, maintaining project repositories, and ensuring compliance to established processes.

You'll be supporting the implementation of agreed regular progress reporting mechanisms for all projects and monitoring routine progress of projects, and assisting in the preparation of the programme status or project highlight reports.

You'll also be:

  • Establishing and maintaining an information management system, managing both electronic and hardcopy configuration libraries
  • Providing basic training in configuration management techniques
  • Providing secretariat activities, including meeting minutes, inputting papers to the meetings and communications to stakeholders

The skills you'll need:

To succeed in this role, you'll need experience in a project support role, paired with knowledge of project types and the project lifecycle.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Expertise in tools such as MS Office, Planview, Oracle and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of organisational processes and procedures, including risk frameworks
  • Experience using MS Project and critical path analysis
  • Experience managing complex programme plans, inter dependencies and multiple stakeholder groups
  • The ability to challenge planning decisions confidently and provide guidance when needed
