Assistant Accountant


Salary:
£24,000 - £26,000

Benefits: 50/50 hybrid working, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, study support


An ideal fit for this position will be someone ambitious in their aspirations with a strong foundation of accounting (minimum 18 months in a senior accounts assistant role / higher) and confidence using Excel.

We are looking for a strong academic recordand demonstrated reliability - whether through GCSEs, A-Levels, Apprenticeship or Degree.


Your main roles and responsibilities:

Reporting directly into the Head of Finance, your role will build over time to include the following:

  • Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
  • including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, profit, and loss, fixed asset register
  • Reporting and forecasting for management using Excel confidently
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Managing transactional accounting predominantly the purchase ledger and queries procedure, data input onto Xero
  • Assisting in credit control / sales ledger on an ad hoc basis
  • Projects and ad hoc tasks as required to support the wider function.
