- Optimise and challenge the design with respect to DFM for new products
- Review and implement process improvements to reduce production costs
- Developing and supporting visual controls on the shop floor
- Lead on the implementation of Engineering Changes on the shop floor
- Be first triage of 'quality' problems encountered in manufacturing
- Assist in the evaluation of returned materials and products
- Design fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks
- Assist with PFMEA and implement improvements
- Previous relevant production engineering experience at manager level in a low volume / high variety manufacturing environment
- Experience with CAD software
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Good listener with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to read and interpret designs

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Engineer to join our team based in Barnstaple.
In this role you will ensure that SEA's production processes are effective and predictable through the deployment of appropriate processes, controls, and equipment. Provide input into PV projects to drive DFM best practice.
