Over the last 35 years, The CGM Group has grown into the region's leading Grounds Maintenance company.

We provide a wide and varied range of services including Grounds Maintenance, Horticulture, Arboriculture, and Landscaping, to both the public and private sector clients.

Working closely alongside our Health and Safety Consultant to ensure compliance at all times. This role is being offered on a full-time permanent basis. This is a hybrid role with a 25% / 75% split to home and field-based role.

You will be required to travel to our regional depots, to support Health and Safety and Environmental and Quality across The CGM Group.


This role would suit an individual with previous H&S or Environmental Services experience looking for their next step to gain experience in a fast paced, friendly team.


What you'll be doing....

  • Working with the Health & Safety Consultant to plan the site internal audit program.
  • Identifying and delivering training requirements.
  • Gathering Key Risk Indicators from different sources within the company such as H&S and People Team and providing insightful reports to senior managers including the selection of sites to be audited.
  • Coordinating and delivering site audits.
  • Assisting the implementation of policies, procedures, and processes where necessary
  • Building and maintaining external relationships.
  • Ensure that documentation is kept in line with regulations and that any regulatory issues are dealt with.
  • Excellent knowledge of both the ISO9001 and 14001 standards.
  • Operate to high standards and comply with legal guidelines
  • Manage stakeholders using the right level of challenge and positive engagement

Skills and experience you will need...

  • As this role will involve regional and national travel, a full clean driving licence is required.
  • A relevant professional qualification
  • IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health) Managing Safety (Desirable)
  • Experience with H&S Management Systems
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to operate on your own or as part of a team.
