    ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems are looking for a Head of Equipment Operations

    Role Summary:

    The Head of Equipment Operations is a key role within the business working closely with the Equipment Sales Manager and Commercial Manager and sits on the senior management team reporting to the Managing Director. The role is fully responsible for ensuring the planning, design detail and execution of all equipment installations in line with budgetary requirements with direct reports including the drawing team, Project Co-ordinators, Installation Supervisors and the ongoing management of all subcontract installation teams.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurate forecasting of equipment sales on a weekly/monthly basis to achieve financial objectives
  • Management of key relationships with main contractors including outstanding legal issues where applicable
  • Working with the BSI Commercial Manager, manage variations and outstanding costs through to invoice
  • Manage and control company stock held with external parties and work with the manufacturing plants to ensure a smooth transition from ordering to installation.
  • Full responsibility, management and reduction of quality costs
  • Ensures the accuracy of reported information and minimises the risk of fraudulent or otherwise inappropriate activities in all functional areas
  • Define and implement KPI's against the above for all team members and regularly monitor performance of the team and individuals against these metrics
  • Leads, recruits, trains & develops his/her teams to achieve required results, taking appropriate actions to under performance as necessary
  • Manages all aspects of project fulfilment and co-ordination related to equipment installations​​​​​​​
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    To be successful in this role, you will have a thorough and deep understanding of drawing, interface detailing and project sequencing with contractors is a pre-requisite for this role particularly with regard to large Docking projects.

    You will be able to develop & maintain mutually beneficial relationships with customers and work closely with peers and be a significant contributor to the overall leadership of the BSI UK business. Most importantly, you will be a hands on and inclusive leader of his/her team, continually provides guidance & feedback.

    You will be technically aware and P&L savvy, understand how to manage large and geographically disparate teams to achieve required results. A thorough knowledge of the BSI UK business model to deliver required results is required.
