What is the team like?


An excellent opportunity for an administrator to join the Cheltenham office, working within a team who provide holistic Wealth Advisory Service in relation to retirement planning, estate planning, investments and protection.

Typically our clients are HNW individuals with complex planning needs.


Sitting within the Private Client Division of IWI, the Cheltenham office continues to target strong growth driven by our advice focused approach.

Working together as a team with our colleagues in the South West region, we pride ourselves on delivering demonstrable, measurable value for our clients.


We are looking for someone who is excited about the prospect of joining a growing part of our business, and who is passionate about a career in financial services.


What are the key responsibilities of the role?

  • Maintenance of Xplan including the following:
  • Ensuring that all client workflows and tasks are carried out and completed in line with company policy.
  • Ensure client data is up to date.
  • Submit new business to centralised Financial Planning Administration, including provider and product.
  • Inputting fees.
  • Ensure compliance documentation requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues and 3rd parties.
  • Ensure all client packs and paperwork are prepared ahead of client meetings, including requesting valuations.
  • Liaise with Centralised FP Administration on current cases to ensure information is received in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with FP Admin regarding LOAs.
  • Send out client letters.

What skills and knowledge are we seeking?

  • Good Attention to detail.
  • Excellent telephone manner, listens actively and questions to clarify own understanding.
  • Prioritises and makes effective use of time with good organisation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to set timescales.
  • Works cooperatively and effectively with colleagues to complete tasks and achieve targets.
  • Builds strong internal and external relationships.
  • Treats others with courtesy and understanding, remains friendly and approachable.
  • Proactive and engaged.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.

Any other attributes that would be helpful?

  • Xplan experience desirable but not essential.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in Financial Services with an IFA or Wealth Management company is desirable.
  • Strong team ethic and desire to develop others.
  • Strong alignment to one Investec and our culture and values.
