    Overview of role

    Location: Bradford

    This is a key role within the leadership team helping to shape the annual tactical plan aligned to our business vision. You will lead as well as develop the Sales and NPD teams to deliver the in-year sales targets.

    You will create and deliver a Sales Strategy that is built from solid market insight and competitor understanding.

    You will lead the NPD team to deliver consumer led innovation that is compliant with legislation and supports the growth of our customer relationships.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Lead and inspire the Sales Team to hit the budgeted targets for the business. Covering volume and value within clear financial controls.
    • Continually review all Commercial practices to implement improvements that maximise the performance of the function.
    • Develop a compelling Commercial strategy, aligned with the business plan and executed through joint business plans with our key customers.
    • Develop broad and deep customer relationships to drive our influence on the category.
    • Generate customer and consumer insight into our product categories to help guide our strategic direction.
    • Lead negotiations with key customers and tactical projects for the business (EG: Cost increase, terms, possible investments).
    • Contribute to as well as encourage the team to network in order to improve customer relations to grow new business.
    • Launch the Scrocchiarella product into the market including communications, sales, and finial performance.
    • Generate robust forecasts to limit working capital and stock write off.
    • Lead the NPD team through the creation of a short and long-term PD plan in line with the company, commercial and operational strategies.
    • Ensure the delivery of innovation and new product introductions that are appropriate for Speedibake's markets and feasible to manufacture on a scale basis.
    • To be an active leader contributing to the strategy, direction, governance and performance of the Function and overall business to ensure achievements of profitability targets.
    • Drive performance of your direct reports through clear objectives outlined in Success Factors that are reviewed during an agreed number of 1-2-1's, a Mid-Year review and End of Year review.
    • Ensure all communication within your Functions is open, honest, factual and timely.
