About the Role


Supporting the Strategic Operations Claims Managers and wider claims team, you will assist with multiple strategic claims initiatives across operations, technology, innovation, and data.

This will encompass a significant breadth of scale across various initiatives supporting both local and global needs to ensure best operational outcomes for our claims teams and wider customers.


About the Department & Team:

Claims Operations is a fully integrated department within the LSM Claims function.

We support with the investigation, shaping and delivery of global operations and technology continuous and strategic business improvement opportunities as well as providing core claims operational support and BPO management to our claims teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Working with Strategic Operations Claims Managers and supporting the Global Head of Claims Operations, you will:
  • Engage with key stakeholders at all levels of the business to understand and capture business problems or opportunities for consideration by the Strategic Operations claims team.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement using experience beyond those raised by others
  • Work with the Strategic Operations Claims Managers and wider team to analyse benefit, value, and prioritisation of key initiatives for the team to undertake
  • Support successful delivery of various strategic team deliverables across multiple disciplines and regions
  • Support claims operations management on wider initiatives where required
  • Challenge and provide alternative solutions to ingrained approaches
  • Assist in investigating potential technology and innovation solutions for claims adoption
  • Embed continuous improvement models through creating new or improving existing operational process efficiencies
  • Provide strategic operational claims design and support for delegated authority claims models
  • Establish strong communication channels with stakeholders across claims
  • Partner with the wider business as a claims representative in evolving projects within LSM and the wider Liberty Mutual Group as required
  • Champion new standards and toolsets for use within Claims

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstration of operational experience, preferably in Claims
  • Ability to test / challenge assumptions using a variety of methods
  • Able to successfully engage and deliver on tasks for multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team to effectively solve complex business problems,
  • Experience in articulating complex problems, recommendations, and solutions in a simple and logical manner
  • Foundational analytical, organisational, and problemsolving skills
  • Embrace and champion change and growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable:


  • Experience of working within a global insurance organisation
  • Claims operational or technical claims handling background
  • Transferable or applicable experience of being integral to and successfully delivery of small to large, local, and global projects
  • Previous involvement in technology implementation or innovation
  • Knowledge of delegated authority structures and processes
  • Data analysis capabilities
  • Lloyd's & London market experience
