    We are looking for an experienced teacher to join our school as a Lead Teacher of Art & Design Technology on a full time, permanent basis from September 2024.

    We are looking for someone with the passion and drive to revolutionise the current curriculum ensuring it delivers the knowledge to equip our students with the skills they will need in the future. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting our teaching and learning team, which consists of KS3 specialists as well as KS2 practitioners. Working alongside the Deputy Headteacher you will have the opportunity to build and realise the shared vision of excellence and high standards for all students. This would include developing the pedagogy within the department, delivering CPD, and increasing the enrichment opportunities we offer to the students. They would work with Trust wide and Middle School lead practitioners to continue to improve the outcomes of the department and support new teachers looking to start their Art/DT teaching journeys. Other responsibilities include supporting the team across the department and by being accountable for the teaching and learning across a variety of specialisms (Food Technology, Art and Design Technology).

    We are looking to grow and develop our Design & Technology department by introducing new elements to the curriculum. The successful candidate would play a crucial role in this. All students have 1 hour of Art per week and 1 hour of DT/FT per week. We have three subject specialist rooms and 3 specialist teachers as well as a full- time technician in the department.
