A leading Telecoms business with a focus on Submarine Cabling and Data Centre development is looking for a mid level Legal Counsel to join their growing legal department based in central London.

This business has a broad range of global enterprise customers, including many household names.

A key element of the role is negotiation and drafting of master services and similar agreements for the sale of services and of right of use capacity and dark fibre, literally across the world.

The workload is heavily geared to documenting sales agreements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4yrs PQE and have gained training at a top tier law firm with some in-house experience ideally gained from the telecoms sector, candidates with exposure to submarine cabling would be advantageous.

Applications from Legal Counsels with an engineering or manufacturing-related background might also suit.

This role is purely a commercial contract role where candidates will need some knowledge of privacy, data protection (including GDPR) and data security issues, regulatory compliance, ideally in relation to telecoms.

Additional language skills ideally French, while German or Italian would be a bonus.
