    About the role and the Team:

    We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Communication and Engagement Officer to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract. As a Communication and Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our culture and engagement initiatives, as well as our internal communications efforts. The ideal candidate is personable, outgoing, and detail-oriented, with a passion for organising events and supporting employee engagement initiatives

    What will you be doing?

  • Plan and support company events, including engagement events, recognition programs, and employee gatherings
  • Provide administrative support to the Culture and Engagement team, including coordinating meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
  • Assist the Internal Communications team in creating and distributing internal communications materials, including newsletters, announcements, and updates
  • Organise and support Hyperoptic engagement and recognition initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Support employee voice initiatives by gathering feedback, facilitating surveys, and providing administrative support for employee forums
  • Roll up your sleeves and assist with various tasks and projects as needed, demonstrating a can-do attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed
  • What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in event planning and support is desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with communication tools and platforms
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Previous experience in supporting culture and engagement initiatives is desirable
  • A genuine passion for fostering employee engagement and promoting a positive work culture
