    We have an exciting opportunity for Band 6 vacancies within the Division of Acute Medicine.

    As band 6 you are responsible for the coordination of flow and providing high quality care to high acuity patients.

    As band 6 flow coordinator you will ensure communication with the clinical lead and the junior doctors are frequent to promote patient flow also you will be expected to front board round with consultants twice a day.

    Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents.

    Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The 170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading.

    Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and brand new, state of the art Emergency Department and acute medical unit.


    The successful candidate will need to be passionate about providing quality care for every one with varying age and conditions promoting independence we want staff to make a difference, and become a valued member of our long established team.


    This role will require a person willing to oversee patient flow, and care for the high acuity patients in AMU's enhanced care bays.

    There will be opportunities within the role to complete learning to ensure that all our patients receive timely and appropriate care specific to their needs.

    Masters Degree in Nursing/health related subject or clear evidence of working towards
    Advanced clinical assessment skills training are desirable

    Performance management skills
    Able to network and establish effective working relationships to impact on collaborative working practice
    Processon of a management qualification or evidence of having undertaken leadershiop skills training is desirable

    Computer literate, knowledge of databases and data collation
    Able to support staff and develop conducive team building and team working
