Head of Innovation - London, United Kingdom - Freshminds Interim

Description

Our client is an independent charity providing testing and learning for small businesses. They are looking for a Head of Innovation to devise the strategy for a new operating unit focused on commercial growth.

Responsibilities

• Sales: Drive sales outreach, activity, and pipeline development, building a grant and corporate pipeline of significant income-generating opportunities
• Delivery : Work closely with the project manager to build operational delivery plans for new partnerships
• Research: Help identify key issues and research questions to address and develop innovative solutions based on their insights about small and midsize business productivity
• Leadership: Help develop the unit's strategy and deliver income targets, achieve operational excellence, and manage risks

Requirements

• Proven track record of income generation.
• Previous leadership experience - potentially in a consulting environment, as a start-up team and/or in a research setting.
• Experience creating and selling a new proposition as part of a start-up team.
• Experience of having secured grants and private sector funding.
• Experience of working with corporate organisations to meet commercial priorities and requirements.
