    ~£45,380 per annum (pro rata if part time)
    ~37 Hours per week - Flexible working options available

    As Housing Development and Move on Manager within the Children and Young People's Strategic Commissioning team , you will lead housing development initiatives and transition plans to ensure robust planning for the future housing needs of care experienced children and young people.

    You will collaborate closely with District and Borough partners to drive the delivery of homelessness prevention strategies.

    Your leadership will be pivotal in developing sustainable housing solutions that provide stability and support care experienced children and young adults in achieving independence.

    Prevention of youth homelessness.
    Housing Transition Planning.
    Increasing move-on accommodation and supporting the strategic commissioning with sufficiency needs.
    Delivery and monitoring of relevant housing protocols.
    Lead responsibility for ensuring emergency properties are compliant with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
    Supporting the development of a move on strategy for care leavers.
    Development of commercial opportunities with the housing market.

    Managing the team and liaising with external partners and agencies to support the implementation of new systems and technology to provide a successful service delivery.

    Manage the budget for the service and implement rigorous budget analysis systems to identify areas that future development would require funding.

    experience of service development and effective performance management

    a comprehensive understanding of legislation, guidance and national policy framework relevant to the provision of housing for specialist groups.

    homelessness and homeless prevention
    high level planning skills to ensure milestones and deadlines are met
    experience of working in a high-pressured environment, and ideally with young people
    to be curious, tenacious, compassionate, and committed to the wellbeing and safeguarding of young people.
