    Purpose

    Within IDEMIA, the Public Security Business Unit stands as one of the primary global providers of biometric solutions, facilitating and securing movements, access, and protection.
    Our areas of expertise encompass digital identity, distributed information systems, cloud computing, smart cards, cryptography, embedded software, and cybersecurity.
    The Systems Architect is tasked with defining and translating our clients' needs into solutions/systems, serving as the coordination point and technical reference during project technical solution choices.

    Key Missions

  • Gathers business and functional requirements from external/internal customers, and translate requirements into technical specifications that are robust, scalable and supportable
  • Defines the functional and technical architecture of the system to meet the criteria of performance, budget, quality and risks induced by the customer requirements and contextual constraints of the system operation
  • Performs architecture feasibility analysis (including performance, fault and risk analysis) and makes recommendations on solutions architecture options
  • Serves as technical lead throughout the full solution development lifecycle, end-to-end
  • Develops and documents architecture specifications that serve as the reference for engineering and execution
  • Provides design and validation reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability
  • Monitors and enforces architecture/technological consistency among all platform components,
  • Supports developers on managing technical issues
  • Participates to architecture standardization
  • Analyzes and provides design for simple or large solutions in autonomy, and with guidance for complex solutions including multiple modules or technologies
  • Leads a small team of architects and drives them toward a common goal
  • You ensure your success if you:
    - Have an engineering background.
    - Have relevant experiences in system engineering, preferably in solution architecture.
    - Are willing to travel across Europe.

    Even better if you have:
    - Basic knowledge of security (PKI, certificate, firewall, etc.) and IT infrastructure: OS (Windows, Linux, Unix), virtualized environments, networking, high availability, cloud infrastructure (AWS), Docker, Kubernetes.
    - Initial exposure to system modeling (POLARION, SPARX, Doors).
    - Good knowledge of Cloud architecture, Java software development, J2EE, JBOSS application servers, C++, and databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB solutions.
