Are you an experienced Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer, or perhaps a recently qualified mechanical engineering graduate,looking for your the ideal opportunity to start your career ?
Would you like to join an established, successful HVAC contract business, in the middle of an extended period of growth and investment ?


Working within the Building Services sector with offices based across the UK, with a client base largely populated from repeat custom, maintaining longstanding relationships, based upon our technical expertise and levels of customer service.


Responsibilities:


  • Preparation of quotations based upon tender or 'design & build' information received
  • Carry out site surveys as and when required
  • Carry out building heating and cooling load calculations using manual calculation spreadsheet and IES computer aided software (training provided)
  • Suitably size and select various types of air conditioning and ventilation services as required for 'design & build' enquiries
  • Produce design sketches to allow CAD layouts to be prepared by the CAD team
  • Approach various suppliers for costs to all quotations to be prepared
  • Ensure the correct level and accuracy of technical content on all projects
  • Ensure that there is a detailed 'handover' of each scheme to the delivery team once order is secured
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects within the team

The applicant must possess:


  • Building Services experience (essential)
  • Knowledge of ductwork and pipework layouts (essential)
  • Knowledge of heating and cooling loads (essential)
  • Selfmotivation and capacity to work to deadlines and timescales
  • Organised approach and positive attitude including the ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent verbal, written and IT communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence it will be necessary to support other offices with visits as and when required

Other attributes:


  • Experience in the use of computer aided building design systems such as IES, Hevacomp, Cymap etc. would be advantageous

Salary

  • Excellent remuneration package, negotiable depending on experience
