Excitingly, we are offering a compelling opportunity to join our Technology department as a Security and Network Operations Lead at our Newcastle office.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in establishing and leading the newly formed Security and Network Operations team.
Your responsibilities, alongside your dynamic Security and Network team, will revolve around NorthStandard's ever-evolving technology stack, threat landscape and regulatory obligations.

Together, we are committed to providing a secure and unified experience, facilitating global collaboration and productivity, including network perimeter, in-depth and zero trust security controls, wide-area, local area and wireless networks, to name a few.
Your main duties will include:
- Providing line management to a developing team of Security and Network engineers and technicians
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Security and Network strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Champion a usercentric approach to securing the digital workspace design, focusing on improving the overall user experience and employee satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards by maintaining effective policies, processes and procedures.
Ideally, you'll have:
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Proven experience in managing all aspect of security and networking platforms, and related technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead crossfunctional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- At least 2 years' experience in a lead/management role
- At least 3 years' experience in a Security and Networking role
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Industry recognised management and leadership qualifications
- CISCO/Microsoft Certified in security and networking
- Industry recognised Cyber security qualifications
