NHS 24 is a patient-focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services


Where We Are:

Our Regional Centres are located at Hillington, Cardonald, Clydebank, South Queensferry, Dundee and Aberdeen. This role can be based at any of the Regional Centres detailed within the job pack.


This Role:
Pharmacy advisor (Weekends only)


This is an exciting time to join the team as we continue to develop this dynamic service within NHS 24.

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists to work as part of the wider team within NHS 24.


This exciting weekend role will contribute to NHS 24's virtual clinical services to meet the needs of the population of Scotland to ensure patients receive high-quality pharmaceutical care.

You will work alongside an extensive multidisciplinary team including other pharmacists, nurses and physiotherapists. Our team of pharmacists also provide support to our in-house mental health and dental teams.


Shift patterns available:


8, 12 & 16 hours/week:

  • 8 Hours (4/8 weekends, Saturday & Sunday alternate weekends)
  • 8 Hours (8/8 weekends Saturdays only)
  • 12 Hours (6/8 weekends Saturdays & Sundays)
  • 16 Hours (8/8 weekends Saturdays & Sundays)
  • Rota examples are included in the job pack, actual rotas will be confirmed at offer stage.

Our Enhanced Salary Package


NHS 24 offers a complete benefits package, with a
permanent contract on Band 7 £43,422 - £ 50,506* (pro rata for part-time hours).


Competitive salary enhancements for working unsocial hours are in addition to the above basic starting salary, this means that the following hourly rates would be applicable.


  • Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
