We are seeking a Functional Skills Tutor/Learning Coach

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking training provider, who value and appreciate staff, offering excellent prospects

The purpose of the role is to deliver Functional Skills - English and Mathematics level 2 mainly for the Ministry of Justice contacts in training centres to large groups of learners on a weekly roll on/roll off programme, with 3 days delivery, fourth day exam prep and exam.

DUTIES

To Deliver English, Maths in line with customer requirements in group sessions in the centre and one to one
To work with a caseloads of learners
To understand and agree with employers, learners and each learners starting point and skills development needs
Using the companies English and Maths delivery process, to agree a training plan with each learner
Dealing with learners face to face in the centre in groups, also remotely
Review progress
Carry out regular caseload reviews
Using eportfolio system
Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding and Ofsted is captured
Working closely with IQA's on best practice, development needs, providing sampling

ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE
Strong in mathematics delivery and or qualifications

In-depth knowledge of specifications for Functional Skills

Must be a car owner/driver - all mileage paid

Flexible to travel to the Midlands Branch to cover occasionally and for meetings

Salary up to £28,750 per annum

Plan and deliver tutoring sessions tailored to each student's individual needs
Help students develop effective study skills and strategies
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support student learning
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
Experience working with children, especially in a tutoring or teaching capacity
Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Patience and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
