- Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques such as MIG and stick welding according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
- Interpret and comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Prepare welding surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and degreasing to ensure proper adhesion and quality of welds.
- Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate welding tools, gas, and wire, and adjusting settings for optimal welding performance.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety standards.
- Document work performed, including recording welding parameters, materials used, and any issues encountered during fabrication.
- Adhere to established deadlines and prioritize tasks to meet project schedules and production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace.
- £28,000 + per annum (DOE)
- 7AM to 3PM
- 3PM 11PM
- 11PM to 7AM
- Background and experience in welding or fabrication
- MIG / TIG Welding experience
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety
- Can work to deadlines.
