    Student Engagement & Wellbeing Officer

    On the 1st August , UHI West Highland, UHI North Highland and UHI Outer Hebrides merged to form UHI North, West and Hebrides, a partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands. With staff and 19 campuses we cover an area larger than Wales and encompass more than 40% of Scotland's coastline.

    We are seeking a Student Engagement & Wellbeing Officer to be based at our Fort William centre.

    The post holder will be responsible for organising, co-ordinating and delivering guidance support to students. This will include the delivery of pre-entry, on course and pre-exit guidance and advice, and supporting students in sourcing accommodation.

    You will also support the student engagement agenda across the college.

    In addition, you will take a lead responsibility in relation to planning and delivering student Induction, supporting students who have experience of living in care, and of students with caring responsibilities. You will also be part of the college Safeguarding team.

    The suitable candidate will hold a minimum qualification SCQF level 7 and have relevant experience.

    Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role, as well as the ability to problem solve and relate to students of all ages. Candidates must also hold a current, valid driving license, and have access to a vehicle.
