My client is currently looking for a Field Operations Manager who has previous experience in managing a field-based team of Telematics (or similar) engineers as well as a background of being on the tools themselves.

This Field Operations Manager role is very much a team management role where you'll be involved in working alongside the engineers when needed, auditing the engineers themselves (employed and sub-contractors), running the teams recruitment processes, aswell as being a "Go to" for customers when projects / installations need attention by a senior manager

This Field Operations Manager role is both exciting and varied and needs someone who can embrace taking on various functions and responsibilities.

The key duties/responsibilities of the role include:

Managing field service engineers
Able to "pick up the tools" when needed (limited)
Working with and managing subcontractors
Where required for project work, traveling to various client and project sites to support engineering work.
Auditing and training all engineers, ensuring excellent levels of health and safety, and maintaining the highest standards of job workmanship throughout all engineering activities.

Field Operations Manager Experience required

The individual will be an experienced engineer, who has a minimum of 3 years' working in the autoelectrical industry
Must have managed a team in the past
Needs to be passionate about vehicles and worked with a wide range of commercial vehicles, such as, HGV, light commercial, bus and plant.
Have demonstrated good customer service skills in a role where daily client interaction was required.

Package

Highly competitive salary and with an excellent progression model.
Basic Pay £35K 45K per annum (depending on experience).
Location of office: Manchester able to commute to the office would be preferred but not essential
Immediate start available.
Company vehicle car or van
Work pension scheme available.
