    Network Cabling Technician

    Our Client seeking a highly motivated Network Cabling Technician to join the growing team within the telecommunications space.

    You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth installation and support of our network solutions at customer sites.

    Responsibilities:

    • Install and support cabling and network equipment at customer premises, meeting agreed deadlines and maintaining the highest standards.
    • Foster clear communication between partners, sales, and customers to guarantee efficient and effective service.
    • Provide expert consultancy and technical advice to customers, addressing their specific needs.
    • Act as a liaison between Atlas Communications NI Ltd and third-party network service providers.
    • Ensure customers receive the perfect cabling solution for their unique requirements.
    • Plan and deliver customer training sessions, empowering them to understand the installed network and its benefits.
    • Organize travel and accommodation for client site visits, adhering to company procedures.
    • Develop strong interpersonal and presentation skills to build trust and confidence during client interactions.
    • Complete accurate documentation and reports regarding equipment installation and configuration.
    • Prioritize customer satisfaction in all aspects of your work.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in assembling and arranging cabling materials & equipment.
    • Ability to interpret and follow service orders, drawings, specifications, and instructions.
    • Expertise in running, pulling, stopping, and splicing copper and fibre optic cables (CAT5E, CAT6).
    • Experience mounting telecom and network equipment according to industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
    • Ability to install routers, hubs, Wi-Fi Access Points, support structures (racks, ladders, j-hooks, and switches).
    • Strong understanding of telephony and/or LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi solutions.
    • Experience with cabling surveys and installations in a field-based role.

    Desirable:

    • JNCIA and/or Cisco CCNA certifications.
    • Experience working with network, communication, and wireless products.
