Our client, a highly reputable civil engineering contractor based in the West of Scotland, is looking to expand their team by adding a Senior Estimator with site experience working on civil engineering projects.

They are currently operating within Water, Marine, Power and General Civil sectors, but have capabilities to offer a diverse service offering to their clients making them one of the faster-growing organisations in the Scottish Market.

As a Senior Estimator you will work closely with the management team and will be responsible for:

  • The effective registration, control and administration of tender documentation.
  • Ability to identify both risk and opportunities at the tender stage.
  • Develop detailed and achievable packages and agree with the end clients.
  • Take offs from drawings and production of costeffective tenders from first principles.
  • Participate in internal reviews, governance, presentations, and negotiations with client when required.
  • The effective analysis and pricing of risks.
  • The preparation of tender submission documents and estimating reports.
  • Provide assistance for proposals and contract management functions.
  • Liaise regularly with management team and site teams.
***You should have a methodical approach, great interpersonal skill and have the following skills: - Strong and demonstrable estimating experience within civil engineering projects.

  • Experience in estimating for civils and water projects.
  • Scottish Water Framework experience is desirable.
  • Experience using Conquest, Candy or Similar estimating packages.
  • Ability to challenge within the Estimating team and the wider team constructively.
