DevOps Team Leaderto play a key role at Sepura.


As the DevOps Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small team of DevOps engineers, defining our DevOps strategy, implementing DevOps best practices and the management of our development infrastructure.

Your Role

Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a collaborative and highperforming culture.
  • Define and implement DevOps strategies, practices, and processes to streamline build and release management, and perform system maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with software development, quality assurance, Security and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and maintenance of software tools.
  • Design and manage the CI/CD infrastructure, and configuration management systems, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Drive automation initiatives, leveraging tools and technologies to automate build, delivery, and testing processes.
  • Monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability and high performance of infrastructure.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating and implementing new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define DevOps requirements, priorities, and project timelines, and ensure the successful delivery within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations and operating procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, developments, and advancements in DevOps practices, tools, and technologies, and recommend their adoption when appropriate.

Your Day to Day
Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world.

Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.

There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business. The Software Team including DevOps at Sepura, follow an Agile development process centred around the heartbeat of Scrum ceremonies. During each sprint the DevOps team will complete several planned tasks related to

  • Line management of the DevOps engineers
  • Enhancing, monitoring, and maintaining existing DevOps infrastructure
  • Trialling and rollout of new infrastructure
  • Collaborating with our Developers, IT and Security teams
  • Defining the DevOps roadmap and tracking progress against it
  • Investigation and resolution of service issues
What you need to succeed


Must-haves:


Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


Experience and Skills

Essential:


  • Strong technical background with indepth knowledge of the software development lifecycle and systems administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Groovy or PowerShell.
  • Linux and/or Windows system administration.
  • Understanding of continuous integration in software delivery.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to analyse complex systems and network issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering initiatives while meeting deadlines.

Nice to have:


  • Handson experience with CI/CD pipelines, source code management systems (e.g., Git, Perforce), and build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity).
  • Recent experience with Team Leadership/Management.
  • Experience with Linux distribution tools (e.g., Yocto).
  • Building Android Open Source Project or using the SDK.
  • Build systems such as Scons/CMake or building Android Open-Source Project.
  • Remote build execution and distributed build caching (Incredibuild/Fastbuild/Bazel)
  • Experience with system provisioning tools (e.g., Ansible or Puppet).
  • An understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Experience with infrastructureascode.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and experience in implementing secure DevOps processes.
  • DB administration.
  • Experience with cloudbased technologies (e.g. AWS).
  • Experience with Jira administration.
  • Knowledge of virtualisation technologies.
