    Description

    BioTalent have partnered with a Viral Vector Manufacturing Organisation in London to search for an experienced Technical Director to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

    As the Technical Director you will be responsible for all technical aspects within the organisations project portfolio, bridging the gap between product development and manufacturing, and ensuring that products can be consistently produced at scale while meeting quality and regulatory requirements.

    This role will offer you:

    • Opportunity to work with key stakeholders internally and externally to lead exciting projects within viral vector manufacturing.
    • Opportunity to design, influence and execute the technical strategies of the organization

    You will be responsible for:

    • Managing a team of managers across; production, delivery, MSAT and process development.
    • Training and development of technical teams by mapping skill gaps and providing suitable training for the personnel, enhancing their capabilities.
    • Technology evaluation and implementation; anticipate future manufacturing needs and lead the development of procedures to support cutting-edge new techniques, ensure efficiency and reliability of manufacturing processes, aligning production capacity and efficiency with project goals and timelines.
    • Setting standards, monitoring and guiding the overall performance of the team. Managing workload and resources to achieve the objectives of the team and wider group.

    You will bring the following:

    • A degree in Biotechnology or similar related discipline along with significant experience in industry.
    • Experience within a senior leadership position, with a demonstrated background delivering complex viral vector PD, MSAT and Manufacturing projects.
    • Knowledge and experience working with both AAV and Lentiviral Vectors would be extremely desirable.
