Quality Auditor

Location :
Alconbury


Salary - Day Shift 7am - 7pm - £ Sunday - Wednesday ( 4 on, 3 off, 3 off, 4 on )

Salary - Night Shift 7pm -7am - £ Tuesday - Saturday

Role
Inspection and monitoring of the quality of produce
Assess produce against specifications to demonstrate the quality and report results to drive continuous improvement.
Accurately assessing finished goods.
Capturing robust numeric data to ensure consistency in reporting
Assessing all aspects of the finished products and utilise links to support departments to produce a detailed picture e

g:

  • Raw materials
  • QC intake and APEX data


  • Packaging

  • Commercial, NPD and Packaging departments


  • Label accuracy

  • Print room and Technical departments


  • Construction

  • Operations and Account teams
Accurately recording of findings with supporting photographic evidence where visualisation adds value to inspection data
Completing and send daily, weekly and period reports, within agreed time scales, with supporting evidence e.g. data, photos,
Determining if specifications prepared for the production line staff are accurate and fit for purpose. Where specifications are inadequate/incorrect, address with the Technical department.
Identifying and segregate 'out of specification' materials and agree actions with relevant departments
Managing status of out of specification finished goods e.g. 'Use', 'Hold', etc & ensure clear communication as to the fate of the material
Highlighting to operational staff any finished goods where the specification is not met and ensure that whenever possible the bunch is reworked until it meets the required specification
If the product is inconsistent with the specification inform management so that corrective action can be taken
Agreeing corrective actions with relevant department and follow-up with subsequent assessment

For this role we are looking for:
Previous experience in a quality role
Resilient character
Good organisational, problem solving and analytical skills
A keen eye for detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
Ability to work independently and within a small team that depends on one another to coordinate and share inspection activity
Carry out assignments to completion within parameters given
Microsoft Office experience - Word, Excel
Flexible approach to work
Identify and develop continuous improvement opportunities
