    Description

    We are now looking for motivated and outstanding Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic team at The Langley Hotel & Spa, a Luxury Collection Hotel by Marriott.

    The Langley Hotel opened its doors on 1st June 2019, following an extensive six-year renovation. Working alongside the award-winning Dennis Irvine Studio, the multi-million-pound renovation has transformed the historic Grade II-listed Langley Park House from a dilapidated former private home into a majestic countryside icon, and a hotel that encompasses the modern sensibilities an0d aspirations of the modern traveller. We have collection of exclusive dining experiences, including a signature restaurant with an acclaimed chef at the helm and an intimate bar specializing in the finest cognac and cigars.

    Churchill bar – casual dining, light bites

    Banqueting & Events – selection of canapes and events catering

    Job Role

    As our Waiter/Waitress you will become part of a dedicated team that welcomes and engages with our guests throughout their patronage with us ensuring a relaxed and memorable experience.

    General duties will include:

    • Welcome guests in a friendly and engaging manner
    • Provide prompt, friendly and efficient service
    • Be familiar with all food & beverage items on the menu
    • Support all the team in delivering an excellent experience for guests
    • Be attentive and proactive with the ability to respond quickly to needs of our guests and bar management team
    • Be an excellent team player with exceptional communication skills
    • Ensure that licensing laws and health and safety matters are adhered to
    • Demonstrate your passion and surprise and delight our guests
    • Be responsible for ensuring bills are dealt with accurately
    • Ensure that you adhere to health and safety matters

    The successful candidate should ideally have:

    • Previous experience within a luxury 5-star environment or similar
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Flair, passion and a conscientious attitude
    • Ability to think outside of the box to surprise and delight our guests
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Be an excellent team player with exceptional communication skills
    • Understanding of licensing laws and health and safety matters
    • A keen eye for detail and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure a consistent level of service
    • Confidence, professionalism, and engaging personality with an aptitude to reflect the luxury brand standards of the hotel
    • Clear conversational English
    • 18+ years old as this role included the selling of alcohol
