Position Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Support site operations for remediation projects and maintenance tasks relating to the Building Automation System
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, network and other critical control system issues during an incident.
  • Support data center commissioning, operational and maintenance activities, including validation of hardware and software systems, alarming, data recovery, and functional logic
  • Support escalations, change management and maintenance requests impacting the BMS/BAS in all Vantage Operated buildings
Duties

  • Collaborate with members of the Design, Engineering, and Construction team during projects, as well as members of the Operations Engineering team, and Site Operations team for sustaining existing automation architecture in commissioned buildings
  • Work with leading edge automation systems from large scale industrial controls vendors
  • Coordinate integration support schedules, allowing for sufficient time to program, test, and commission mission critical control systems
  • Question the status quo, and think outside of the box to build ultrareliable, ultraefficient data center automation systems
  • Support in the design of Controls Architecture Documents to include Networking Topology & IP Scheme for newly built and operational data centers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, SCADA, network and other critical control system issues during incidents
  • Support training and alignment sessions with the onboarding for Site-Ops for new and existing buildings
  • Support integration and remediation efforts for the BMS in Operational Buildings
  • Collaborate with stakeholders of the Design Engineering, IT & Construction teams during projects, as well as the Site Operations team for continuous improvement of the existing automation architecture
  • Travel required is expected to be at least 50% but may increase over time as the business evolves
Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics or equivalent work experience is preferred but not required
  • Industrial automation system commissioning experience is required
  • Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Skilled at developing automation control logic from scratch, and performing full scale integration and testing
  • Knowledge of automation systems (control loops, field IO, etc.) in a mission critical environment
  • Experience with industry leading software platforms for SCADA systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial PLC systems manufactured by leading edge, largescale vendors
  • Travel required is expected to be at least 50% but may increase over time as the business evolves
