Mfg Transformation Data Analyst**
Location: Solihull, Castle Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Halewood (can be primarily based at either site but some travel will be required)

Rate:
£35.70ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £27.09ph PAYE


Employment Type:

Position description:

This opportunity is for a Business Data Analyst in the Manufacturing Business Office 'Manufacturing Transformation' team.


The Manufacturing Business Office, is responsible for developing and implementing the manufacturing business processes for deployment across global manufacturing footprint.

The purpose of this role is to design, develop and deliver the framework and governanceprocesses surrounding Manufacturing Transformation project.

As the Data Analyst you will create, collect, and interrogate operational chain raw data to ascertain and report meaningful insights into production performance.

Use these insights to carry out statistical analysis and complex problem solving to turn the datainto useful information that the business can use for critical decision making.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:


  • Use data mining to extract information from data sets
  • Create data collection methods where none exist
  • Monitor data quality and remove corrupt data
  • Use advanced analytics practices to delve deeper into trends and patterns in operations and supply chain data
  • Organise and transform information using diagrams, graphs and other reporting techniques
  • Identify and recommend ways to improve production efficiency and effectiveness
  • Communicate technical solutions to nontechnical people
  • Internal and external benchmarking
  • Ensuring Corporate standards for Data Management are met in full
  • Appropriate data controls for processes are followed across manufacturing
  • Promote, create and maintain relationships with manufacturing plant based teams
  • Alignment with key stakeholders on business value creation.
  • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports / comparing to operational goals
  • Provide assistance in data management best practices and governance, as required
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.

  • Experience as a data analyst gained in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problemsolving skills
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

Experience & Qualifications required:


  • Relevant previous experience in Business Processes
  • Understanding of the endtoend manufacturing processes.
  • Experience of collaboration cross functional team working
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A friendly, communicative, selforganised individual.
  • Strong presentation creation and presenting to a senior audience.
  • Scientific, attitude: caring about evidence and willingness to change beliefs based on new evidence
  • Sets high standards for written materials and diligently follows them personally and holds others to account to achieve
  • Understanding of financials cost benefits analyses
  • Support business initiatives utilizing Project Management expertise
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Serve as the conduit between the business units/departments, Manufacturing Business Office and the wider Transformation team.
  • Good understanding of project management lifecycle
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:


  • Working experience in an operational / manufacturing business (preferably automotive)
  • Advanced knowledge of key business systems and processes, e.g. quality tools and techniques
  • IT skills
