We are looking for a dynamic individual to join a newly established insight and impact team within NHS Horizons.

This is an exciting opportunity for a leaders from academia, the commercial, voluntary, public sectors and/or wider NHS, to take our insight and impact work to the next level.


The Senior Associate - Insight and Impactwill work closely with the Head of Insight and Impact to lead and support aspects of how we continue to develop our novel approach to rapid insight generation.

This includes working with volunteers to draw out actionable insights with impact and working across the NHS Horizons team to capture the difference we are making.


This is a crucial role, with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of high priority projects and programmes impacting on key priorities for the NHS.

This role is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the development of a new and novel approach to rapid insight generation whilst also creating the conditions for NHS Horizons to better capture the difference it makes.


The focus for the post holder will be to provide leadership and support to enable the successful delivery of insight and impact projects and programmes.


This will include:


  • Lead and support the development of measurement plans and follow up activity, making best use of our insight approach and how we create public value, to tell the story of the difference we are making.
  • Run multiple projects, some of which will be ongoing throughout the role.
  • Lead and support aspects of how we continue to develop our novel approach to rapid insight. This includes consolidating what works, horizon scanning for ways to evolve and develop our approach, as well as consolidating our learning and methods across the team.
  • Promote sense making by bringing together diverse volunteers to explore what the data may be teaching us, and to draw upon collective skills, experience and knowledge to determine key recommendations and next steps.
  • Develop systems and processes that support the Horizons team to more systematically capture the difference we are making, and to promote learning in rapid cycles on an ongoing basis.
  • Support learning across the team from different commissions, bringing together our collective intelligence in ways that are actionable and impactful for the Horizons team, our sponsors, and clients.
