Are you experienced and have good knowledge of Project Quality (Iso 9001, IRCA) with a strong QA and QC background?

Do you have experience of working on highly regulated projects, i.e., Nuclear, Defence, Marine?

Do you have or are able to attain UK Level SC Clearance?

Reporting to the regional Quality Lead (Quality Responsible Officer) you will be interacting with all levels of internal customers as well as liaising with suppliers and clients.


Main purposes of the role:

Identify and implement opportunities for improvement or good practice within the project context.

Use a system thinking approach to focus the consortium on requirements and interface management.


Establish a governance framework (system of management) that enables the consortium to deliver to the customer requirements and drive the culture of planning for quality through the delivery process.


The main challenges in the role:

The consortium delivery team is based on multiple sites across the UK and France, with the customer interfaces in France and Spain.

The quality team needs to be able to work flexibly and facilitate multi-site working through using technology in process design to overcome communication challenges.

The consortium is formed of three organisations with the addition of a number of sub-contractors.

Designing shared processes needs to take into account the cultural differences between the companies, the language difficulties, and the existing established ways of working.

Time management - you need to be aware of the time budgets for each task and work within them

Ideally you will have the following skills, experience and attributes

  • Experience of developing governance arrangements
  • Experience in working within complex project structures
  • Experience of leading internal audit programmes to ISO9001 or equivalent (ideally lead auditor qualified)
  • Effective communication at all levels, written and verbal, including experience in preparation of quality plans and control plans
  • Able to work with complex issues to tight deadlines and within budget.
  • Experience of a regulated environment is preferred.
  • A highly developed problemsolving ability
  • Be experienced in using appropriate quality tools to identify risks and opportunities
  • Be approachable, organised, collaborative, and communicative.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Highly task orientated and goal focused.
  • Innovative in approach.
  • Commercially aware.
  • To provide a quality & service driven attitude.
