Engineering Operations Manager.
Encirc supplies container glass to some of the world's largest food and beverage companies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organise and supervise the work and operations of your team in preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, including electrical, electronic and communications systems as well as mechanical aspects of the Beverages Filling Operation
  • Analyse daily, the information provided by shift teams on plant performance and take action to improve
  • Ensure the appropriate stock level of the material means necessary for the established preventive and corrective maintenance work
  • Monitor, analyse and promote actions to improve the efficiency of electrical, electronic and communications system and general mechanical installations, taking appropriate actions
  • Participate in technical meetings with your direct manager and other collaborators in order to coordinate and optimize processes that result in an improvement of the results
  • Plan and monitor the jobs and operations of general service assistants
  • Generate an adequate working climate as well as attend and manage the problems and incidents raised by the people in your care, looking if necessary, to support other people / departments involved, acting as spokesperson for your team of collaborators
  • Analyse and propose the structure and working methods of your human team and material means to meet the objectives established in terms of efficiency and efficiency, as well as ensure the correct adequacy of people to their position, both in their incorporationand in their recycling
  • Complete, according to the established procedure, all the necessary documentation for the reporting of information (time management part, reports)
  • Track the budgets of spending and investment orders
  • Carry out a control of the contracts that work in the plant. From placing orders to controlling jobs
  • Observe the needs of the plant for possible investments and improvement of facilities
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality, Food Safety and goods manufacturing and hygiene and food defence practices in force within its scope of action and notify it's the site responsible person for any anomalies and / or breaches detected. You must also leadand monitor your team's compliance with these Standards, and take appropriate action in the event of noncompliance

Business Knowledge

  • Engineering Graduate calibre
  • Knowledge in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering
  • FMCG knowledge is essential, Filling knowledge is desirable
  • Track record of improvement projects using Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Performance management with evidence of building, managing & motivating successful teams on a large scale, shift working operation


  • Technical knowledge

  • Understanding of site processes is desirable

Essential Functional / Technical Skills

  • People management and coaching skills ability to identify and develop team members, set expectations, provide follow ups & make daytoday decisions
  • Ability to analyse root causes & implement decisions. Continuous improvement tools (5s; TPM; SMED, etc.) & production management tools (JIT, 6 sigma, etc.) knowledge is desirable
  • Deep understanding of maintenance management tools (TPM, TQM, SPC, etc.)
  • Ability to develop & maintain good working relationship with colleagues at all levels
  • Good level of communication skills across different levels within the organisation


  • Competent computer skills

  • SAP & MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Salary:
£60,000-£70,000
+

**Work Pattern: Mon-Thurs 8-5 Fri 8-2.30
