We are looking to recruit a Management Accounts Officer to support with the provision of a Management Accounting service ensuring that accurate, timely and relevant information is produced to enable effective financial management of the University.


The successful postholder will support with the preparation of monthly management accounts for faculties and services including corrections, recharges, accruals, prepayments, and reports including with the preparation of annual and profiled budgets for faculties and services based on assumptions agreed by the Business Partners with budget holders.

The postholder will also support with the preparation of in year forecasts based on methodologies agreed with the Business Partners and the preparation of reports on external projects, partnerships, and campus performance to provide insightful analysis to senior management.

You will also support with the provision of financial input into tenders and business cases to provide insightful analysis to aid decision making and support with preparation of Grant claims, monitoring reports and audit information.


You will have AAT Level 3 or part qualified and studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) and will have experience of disciplined management accounting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis to both finance and non-finance managers, budget setting in a complex organisation, using Financial Information Systems, designing and using spreadsheets and database tools to analyse financial data, analysis to support tenders and business cases.
