    What is the opportunity?

    • This is an entry level position (Analyst or 1st year Associate) where the individual will grow into becoming the primary sales business manager, also supporting the wider cross-asset Markets team in various aspects from reporting, management presentations, control matters and small projects.
    • Whilst the role will report into the Business and Product Development Markets COO, the individual will partner closely with the Supervisory / Control COOs.
    • Work attitude is paramount: the individual is expected to be curious and a fast learner with a self-starter mentality: proactive, organised, enthusiast, adaptable and willing to provide support in a variety of areas.

    What will you be doing?

    Client/Sales Performance Management Information

    • Work closely with FIOS to produce meaningful MI using sales credits (Fixed Income) and commissions (Equities)
    • Support Sales with performance monitoring and client data enquiries
    • Support head of sales and COO team with production of strategy packs, sales budgeting (sales credit and headcount) and financial monitoring

    Sales support

    • Assist with sales management meeting agendas and coordination
    • Work with the Salesforce team to improve the system and encourage use amongst sales
    • Help support with KYC / client onboarding issues, liaising with KYC team
    • Assist sales with providing requested information for the purpose of client and fund on-boarding
    • Liaising with Sales and Ops on settlement queries
    • Informing and updating sales on status for all queries and on-boarding
    • Ad hoc queries

    Sales credit quality assurance

    • Learn sales credit workflows and improve where required
    • Working with FIOS and Trade Support to fix any issues that arise and improve systems
    • Process or ensure manual processes are effective (Primary New Issues sales credits...)
    • Understand various sales SLAs in place.
    • Account re-mappings to maintain up-to-date data
    • Broad range of data uploads, Report monitoring, reviews and updates, including SalesForce data: account owner changes, Account openings & closures , Updating contacts , Data cleaning , Ad-hoc changes
    • Help the wider COO team and over time,
    • Own some projects, eg on the floor liaison for intern/ grads
    • Support the Business and Product Development COO head on wider Markets strategies

    What do you need to succeed?

    • Experience in Markets desired but not essential
    • Understanding of basic investment banking products (bonds, derivatives)
    • High-level understanding of a tradeflow and the various functions in the bank
    • Solid IT skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Confluence)
    • This role will suit an entry level candidate

    • Adaptable and willing to provide support in a variety of areas.
    • Solid communication skills at all levels: able to interact with interns and heads of sales alike.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyse problems and identify and implement practical and cost-effective solutions.
    • Able to multitask, to adapt to priority changes and work under high pressure at times
    • Willingness to perform detailed or repetitive tasks when required, with fine attention to detail and a focus on data quality.
