    Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Sugar Producer to recruit a Mechanical Reliability Engineer for its site in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

    The Mechanical Reliability Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to £59,000, benefits package and training opportunities.

    Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will:

    Manage and influence a wider team to implement the CBM strategy, and check progress of this.

    Be the site expert for the condition monitoring techniques including vibration analysis, thickness testing, thermography, oil analysis and ultrasonic thickness testing.

    Be responsible for the selection and use of various condition monitoring techniques, based on best practice and liaising with subject experts.

    Collate information from vibration analysis testing and produce reports interpreting the results, with maintenance strategies put in place off the back of the findings.

    Develop and review various condition monitoring routes and routines.
    Supervise a Lubrication Technician, providing support when necessary.
    Always work to the highest health and safety standards.

    Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
    A HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or other similar discipline.
    Experience managing and influencing a team is essential for this role.
    Experience on a similar heavy industrial environment (CHP / Power generation etc).
    Experience working on a site with multiple work areas and operational and non-operational periods would be hugely beneficial.
    A CAT-I or CAT-II qualification for Vibration Analysis would be highly desirable.

    Proven ability to manage complex and conflicting requirements in an industrial environment.
    The ability to build strong working relationships.
