    Summary

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a NPD Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Cranswick Sutton Fields. Reporting directly to the Innovation Chef for Sutton Fields, with close working relationships with the category, commercial, wider NPD team at Sutton or within retailer teams, technical, process development, purchasing & operations colleagues & key customer contacts

    Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • To provide a site-based resource within the kitchen team, these duties will include.
  • The preparation and serving of lunches to both internal and external individuals,
  • Maintaining of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, this will include fridges and freezers, stock rotation of both dry and wet ingredients amongst other duties that would come with a busy kitchen.
  • Run shelf-life panels and Organoleptic assessments on current and new products.
  • Assist development chefs in the making/production of samples.
  • While responsibilities are site based there may be the requirement for travel between sites and to customers.
  • Requirements, experience and person specification:

  • Awareness of food quality standards, CCPs, allergens and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work from recipe sheets to produce kitchen and factory samples
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a factory environment
  • Comfortable to work in factory, office and kitchen environments
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong team player and works for the good of the team
  • Works with passion and pride at all times
  • Ability to create a favorable first impression
  • Flexible; is able to work within a fast-moving environment with change and high expectations
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest and understanding of food
  • Has good attention to detail
  • Good motivational and interpersonal skills
  • Holds a full UK drivers license
